    A Russian silver brandy warmer with simple plain styling. Good early date. The circular bowl has a reeded border, flat handle and pull-off cover. Original gilt interior.     A stunning quality Russian silver coffee jug with excellent deep chased decoration incorporating foliate scrolls and the traditional Russian eagle to the front and reverse sides. The bulbous lid has a distinctive onion form. No expense has been spared with the rich bright gilding which even extends to the inside of the pot and lid. Contains 1200ml. Total weight (including wooden handle and lid finial) 724 grams, 23 troy ounces. Height 26.5 (to top of finial). Spread 21cm. Moscow. Circa 1770. Russian silver purity is 84 zolotnik equivalent to 875/1000. 18th century.

    A charming pair of antique silver beakers of tapering cylindrical form. The deep embossed and engraved decoration is very typical of Russian beakers of this period. Each beaker has two vignettes of a cherub and a cockerel, one beaker also with a crest and initials in old script. Each contains 220 ml.Total weight 149 grams, 4.7 troy ounces. Height 8.5cm. The top is decorated in the traditional silver and black niello with two ladies listening to a young man playing a mandolin and, in the background, on gilt stippled ground with leaf borders. The base is equally beautiful with a lady playing the harpsichord, the listener sitting in an armchair. The interior has the original gilding. Weight 55 grams, 1.7 troy ounces. Top measures 6.25 x 4.5 cms. Height 1.4 cms. Top and bottom marked with Russian silver marks. Makers mark for Ivan Kaltykov, Moskow. Dated 1827.

    A delightful antique silver box with attractive and very detailed engraved decoration. The top is decorated in the traditional silver and black niello with a courting couple in a strange rocky landscape and, in the background there is a tall building on a stippled ground (with minor traces of gilt). The base is equally beautiful with a young man holding a bouquet of flowers. The sides are engraved with lots of small houses. The interior has the original gilding. Weight 60 grams, 1.9 troy ounces. Top measures 6.3 x 4.5 cms. Height 1.5 cms. Top and bottom marked with Russian silver marks – makers mark, 84 grade, date mark badly struck circa 1850.

The hinged lid with domed centre has an applied flower to each corner and to the centre. There is a folding catch to the front and swing handles either side. Weight 234 grams, 7.5 troy oz.
