All pieces with an engraved initial "F" except sauce ladles, condiment spoons and sugar tongs. Weight 3856 grams, 124 troy ounces. Dudley Cater, apprenticed to Jonathan Hayne of Red Lion St, Clerkenwell in March 1823, first mark entered as plateworker, in partnership with Samuel Hayne, July 1836. Died circa 1881-85.
This complete set of sterling silver flatware is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. All pieces have matching English silver hallmarks for London 1838, maker Samuel Hayne & Dudley Carter (sauce ladles London 1839). The fork prongs are all very usable but a bit worn. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
