    A rare antique silver cup with a large hand engraved armorial to the front. The shield within tied plumage is very typical of this date. Contains 300 ml. Weight 118 grams, 3.7 troy ounces. Height 7.3cm. Diameter 8.1cm. London 1694. Maker “ID dagger between” – see Jackson’s Silver and Gold Marks page 127. Sterling silver. This makes a pair with stock item #9796.

    An antique continental silver cup of tapering form with a shaped base and standing on three ball feet. Charming decoration with embossed flower heads and foliate scrolls. Original faded gilt interior and remaining traces of the gilt exterior. Contains 120 ml. Weight 62 grams, 2 troy ounces. Height 9.5 cms. Diameter 6.5 cms. Stamped underneath with the German town mark “N” for Nuremberg (Nurnberg), makers mark “HH” for Heniel Hamon and an assay scrape. Circa 1700.

Around the body there is a hand engraved leaf and scroll decoration containing three exquisite quality vignettes of old testament bible scenes. The foot is decorated with a stamped bead and flower ornament. Contains 700 ml. Weight 187 grams, 6 troy ounces. Height 18 cm. Diameter of top 10.9 cm. Frankfurt, Germany c.1700. Maker Samuel Burckenholtz (see photo of text from Rosenberg), a documented maker of engraved beakers of this type.
