Applied cast silver foot and handle with bark detail. To the front is an inscription in old fashioned script. Contains 900 ml. Weight 819 grams, 26.3 troy ounces. Height 14.5 cm. Diameter of top 10 cm. Spread across handle 15.5 cm. Circa 1857. Stamped underneath with the maker Allan & Hayes – colonial silversmiths working in Calcutta, India during the mid 19th century.

Stamped underneath with Chinese silver marks for Leeching, Canton, Hong Kong & Shanghai. Circa 1870.
