    A 16th century style silver church reliquary (often called a philatory when transparent) of tall slim design with an oval shaped rock crystal container. With decorative borders and interesting applied mounts of bears, lady’s head masks and cherubs. Height 26.5 cms. Diameter 8.25 cms (top), 10.75 cms (base). Marked with continental silver stamps (indistinct) to the top and underneath. Probably Nuremberg, Germany. Circa 1880.

    A beautiful antique Bohemian glass vase with engraved panels around the body with architectural scenes. The front panel contains the figure of a Greek deity and there are names etched below the panels. The silver lid is mounted with an entwined serpent and an inset piece of mother of pearl. Height 15.5 cms. Diameter of top 7.5 cms. The lid is marked on the edge with “TF”. Austro Hungarian. Circa 1880.

    A medium size antique bowl in the Queen Anne style with a detachable shaped rim and lions mask side carrying handles. Lovely ribbed body with decorative cartouches to front and back. The rim is very charming with shaped scrolls and face decoration. This bowl was originally used to hold stem glasses, punch ladle and lemon squeezer. Height 18.5 cms. Diameter 20.5 cms. Circa 1880.     An excellent quality antique silver box in the form of a recumbent lion, the famous Lion of Lucerne. The box opens from underneath with a sliding cover and has the inscription “HELVETIORUM FIDEI AC VIRTUTI” (To the loyalty and bravery of the Swiss). Weight 204 grams, 6.5 troy ounces. Measures 10 x 4.25 cms, height 5.25 cms. Marked on the cover with continental silver marks “K” and a shield with an arm holding an arrow. Continental. Circa 1880.

    A very fine quality pair of antique Viennese carved ivory figures, studded with gemstones, and mounted on enamelled silver pedestal bases. Each figure carries a silver and enamel wickerwork pannier and holds a silver basket filled with hardstone fruits. The man also holds a pearl and gemstone mounted silver walking stick. The enamelled silver bases are studded with large stones and mounted with dark blue hardstone tops. Height 23.5/21.5cm. Base 11.5 x 11cm. Silver marked with Austrian control marks.     A rare and excellent quality pair of novelty silver pepperettes modelled in the form of crouching frogs. The chased decoration is very fine, crisp and realistic. Bead eyes.
