    A delightful little cut steel purse with excellent quality metalwork. To each side there is an ornate, pierced and engraved steel panel and to the front there is an inset polychrome painting on glass with a maritime scene. The interior is made of red leather and silk. This piece has suffered damage over the years but still remains a very charming and collectible piece. Length 7 cm. Width 5 cm. Unmarked. Circa 1800.

    A tall and impressive antique silver altar candlestick made from thick sheets of decorated silver mounted on the front and sides sections of a carved softwood stand. This was originally a pricket candlestick and has since been electrified (not wired). Height 77.5 cms. Base 20 x 13 cms. Belgian silver marks for Brussels, Belgium. Maker Pierre Hendrickx. Circa 1820.

    A stylish pair of late 18th century Sicilian silver cartaglorias containing the original texts in old fashioned script. The oval bead bordered frames have applied gilt silver swags, leaves and flower motifs, the bases are raised on square supports. The sheet silver frames are pinned onto carved softwood backs. Height 26.7 cm. Width 23 cm. Marked on the bottom left hand corner with “GC” for Guiseppe Caltagirone of Trapani, Sicilia. Circa 1790.
