Description
A very smart antique silver tray of oval shape with a bevelled glass centre and silver ball feet. The pierced silver gallery has a bead border, interlaced scroll design and inset carrying handles. Underneath the border is reinforced with a brass ring.
Length 56.5 cm. Width 42 cm. Height 6 cm.
Stamped on the side of the handles with Dutch silver marks and the date letter “L” for 1845.
Silver grade 934 (this is purer than sterling silver which is 925 parts out of 1000).
Condition
This useful silver tray is in good condition. There are slight traces of gilding to the silver. The Dutch silver marks are clear. The glass is undamaged. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
