Description
A very elegant antique Scottish sterling silver chalice with plain classical style and square pedestal foot. Original gilt bowl. With decorative bands of hand engraved decoration to the body and foot and an oval vacant cartouche to the front. Contains 300 ml. Weight 234 grams, 7.5 troy ounces. Height 14.5 cms. Diameter of top 9.5 cms. Base 7 x 7 cms. Edinburgh 1787. No makers mark.
Condition
This charming silver cup is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. The hand engraving is crisp. The interior gilding is not worn. The silver marks are clear and easy to read. No makers mark. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
