A Victorian novelty silver pepper, made in the form of a Champagne Cork with crossed pegs to assist opening and realistic textured stem. Screw off base. Weight 29 grams, just under 1 troy ounce. Height 4.5 cms. Sheffield, 1879. Maker Henry Wilkinson & Co.
Condition
This lovely little silver pepper is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Stanped with good clear English silver hallmarks to both the base and head. Some staining inside (possibly from salt). Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
