Description

A pretty antique sterling silver waiter with gadroon border. Small size. To the centre is a hand engraved cartouche containing a coat of arms and motto “in solido rursis locavit deus”. These small size trays are often referred to as waiters and are ideal for use with small objects such as glasses and bottles. Weight 244 grams, 6.2 troy ounces. Diameter 15.8cm. Height 2.8cm. London 1776. Maker Robert Makepeace & Richard Carter.

Condition

This little salver is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Stamped underneath with a clear set of full English silver hallmarks. Good colour. The engraving is still sharp. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
