An antique wine funnel stand in sterling silver with simple, plain design. Of circular form, it has a reed border and a domed centre hand engraved with the crest of a unicorn.
Weight 62 grams, 2 troy ounces.
Diameter 10.5cm.

Literature. The wine funnel stand was designed to catch drips from the funnel after decanting wine. It is plate shaped with a central domed section. The majority of wine funnel stands were made in Edinburgh, with a few made in Dublin and a small number made in London.
Condition
The silver stand is in good condition. Stamped on the reverse with a full set of Irish silver hallmarks. The engraving still retains its definition. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
