Description

A classic antique silver jug of baluster form on a plain circular cast foot. Sparrow beak lip. To the front is an expansive armorial within a decorative cartouche. Excellent colour. Useful for serving cold drinks such as beer, wine or water.

Contains 1000 ml.
Weight 686 grams, 22 troy ounces.
Height 19cm (to top of thumbpiece). Spread 17cm. Diameter 8.8 cm.
London 1736.
Maker Richard Gosling.
Sterling silver.

Marks. Stamped on the underside with a full set of English silver hallmarks. The maker’s mark is poorly struck but is clearly for Richard Gosling.

Condition

The silver jug is in very good condition. Excellent patina.
