A superb antique sterling silver wine cooler with classic campana shape. Fully complete with matching sleeve and cover in sterling silver. With a plain body and applied decorative borders having vine leaf and grape ornament. This is a fine piece of English antique silver in excellent condition and having a very good colour. To both sides there is a large hand engraved armorial with the motto “Propositi Tenax” meaning “Firm of Purpose”. Total weight of all three pieces 2819 grams, 90.6 troy ounces. Height 28 cms. Spread across handles 27 cms. All pieces hallmarked for Sheffield 1827. Maker A.C & Co.

This exceptional silver wine cooler is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. Very good colour. Crisp finish to both engraving and applied mounts. Each piece is hallmarked with matching silver stamps and maker. The marks on the cover are badly struck. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
