Description

An antique Chinese wooden tray mounted with silver handles of bamboo design. The hardwood is beautifully carved with flowers and a stylistic border. To the centre is a hammered silver plaque (uninscribed). The underside has green baize.

Spread across the handles 57cm. Length 47cm. Width 32cm. Height 3.5cm/8.5cm.

Marked on one handle for Tuck Chang & Co, Shanghai.

The tray is in very good condition, both wood and silver. Of simple construction, there are visible joins on the wooden border seen from both ends.
