A highly collectible antique silver cowrie shell snuff box having a hinged lid with decorative, hand engraved monogram. Original gilt interior. The quality of this shell box is excellent, a nice feature is the unusual, curved mount at the top of the hinge.

Measures 4 x 5.5cm.
Circa 1800.
Maker initials “TL”.
Sterling silver.

Marks. Stamped inside with the makers mark only “TW”.

The little box is in very good condition with one small fault to the shell (see final image)
