Very large and impressive. An antique horn mounted with thick bands of engraved silver. Traces of original gilt finish. Heavy quality hanging chain. Length 59 cms. Diameter of top 12 cms. Stamped with German silver marks crown and moon, silver grade 800 and the maker B. Mermelins. Circa 1900.

This decorative horn is in good condition with signs of wear. The silver is generally in good order, the gilt finish shows signs of wear, the central cast band lacks a couple of small ornamental pieces. The horn has a couple of holes which have been filled and the surface is scaly in places.
