Description
A very pretty antique sterling silver bottle ticket with a silver chain. Excellent quality with hand engraved grape and vine detail and across the centre “Old Hock”. Weight 11 grams. Measures 5.5 x 3.3 cm. Stamped on the reverse with the lion and makers mark “MB” for Margaret Binley. Circa 1770.
Condition
This attractive silver decanter label is in very good condition with no damage. Part stamped on the reverse with the lion and makers mark. Crisp engraving.

Margaret Binley, London silversmith and specialist label maker. No record of apprenticeship or freedom. Presumably widow of Richard Binley. Only mark entered as smallworker 1760.
