Description
An antique sterling silver teapot of pear shape form with fluted, moulded body. Small size. The curved spout with a hinged cover, the lid is side hinged. Both lid and body have panels of hand chased decoration and there are applied putti medallions to the front and rear.
Contains 780 ml.
Weight 409 grams, 13.1 troy ounces.
Height 14.5 cm. Spread 20 cm.
German silver marks for Augsburg 1735/6.

Marks. Marked underneath with makers mark EB, town mark (Beck 203) and assay scrape.
Condition
This pretty teapot is in very good condition. The silver marks are clear and easy to read, the lid is unmarked. The chased decoration is crisp and well defined. The pot has been water tested and does not leak; it pours beautifully. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
