Description

A chunky pair of early English sterling silver trencher salts in the rectangular form popular at the start of the 18th century. Good size. Gilt interior. Weight 121 grams, 3.8 troy ounces. Height 3.5 cms. Base 8 x 6.4 cms. Top 6.7 x 5 cms. Lovely clear marks underneath for London 1735. Maker Edward Wood. Would make a good set of 4 with #7288.

Condition

These beautiful antique silver salts are in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. Excellent colour. The silver marks are clear. With initials W and C on the top rim. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
