    9754 Pair of Austrian Silver and Ivory Harvester Figurines

    A very fine quality pair of antique Viennese carved ivory figures, studded with gemstones, and mounted on enamelled silver pedestal bases. Each figure carries a silver and enamel wickerwork pannier and holds a silver basket filled with hardstone fruits. The man also holds a pearl and gemstone mounted silver walking stick. The enamelled silver bases are studded with large stones and mounted with dark blue hardstone tops. Height 23.5/21.5cm. Base 11.5 x 11cm. Silver marked with Austrian control marks. Vienna, circa 1890.

    An antique silver mounted ivory cigar cutter modelled as a fox head. A very impressive piece. The head with blue glass eyes, the mouth opening to reveal the cutter, push-button release. Ivory tusk body with a silver spine. Length 29.5 cms. Austrian silver stamps for George Adam Scheid, Vienna circa 1900.

    7258 Silver and Erotica Enamel Cigarette Case

    A fine and impressive antique solid silver cigarette case with a superb figural scene to the front, in hand coloured enamel, of a seated monk and a pretty young woman. The reverse side has a stripy engine turned decoration. The case opens with a push operated catch and the inside has its original gilding and 2 retaining bands. Weight 106 grams, 3.3 troy ounces. Measures 8 x 6.5 cms. Marked on the inside edge with Austrian silver stamps “sterling silver” and 935. Circa 1910.
