    8209 Antique Silver Filigree Casket


    A good size antique silver box with hinged lid and a very pretty shaped finial. Very heavy quality. The filigree work is fine quality and very detailed with applied flowers, scrollwork, motifs and silver balls. Weight 398 grams, 12.8 troy ounces. Height 11.5 cms. Top 12 x 9 cms. Unmarked silver. Probably Portuguese or Spanish. Circa 1800.

    6370 Antique Portuguese Silver Toothpick Holder


    An excellent antique silver toothpick holder in the form of a male figure holding up a branch with a peacock. On the body and outstretched wings of the bird are the little holes to put the toothpicks. A very charming piece. Weight 250 grams, 8 troy ounces. Height 21.5 cms. Base 7.7 cms x 7.5 cms. Unmarked silver. Portuguese or possibly South American. Circa 1840.

    A lovely decorative antique silver gilt jug and basin with foliate scroll design and curved bird handle. Weight 2489 grams,80 troy ounces. Jug – height 30.7 cms, spread 22.5 cms. Bowl – height 11.4 cms, diameter 35.5 cms. Marked underneath both jug and bowl with Portuguese silver marks for Oporto circa 1880.

    A large pair of heavy quality continental silver candelabraThe arms detach for storage. Cast silver. Decorative design with the figure of a cherub holding the foliate clad candle branches and standing on a circular pedestal with paw feet. Weight 5706 grams, 183.4 troy ounces. Total height 42 cm. Spread 33.5 cms. Continental silver marks. Probably Portuguese circa 1920.
