An elegant antique sterling silver chamber stick with plain classic styling, bead borders and acanthus leaf decoration to the top of the handle. Uninscribed. The candle nozzle is detachable. The stem has an aperture at the base which would have originally held a pair of scissor type snuffers. Weight 242 grams, 7.78 troy ounces. Height 10 cms. Diameter 13 cms. London 1776. Maker Henry Hallsworth.
