  A rare early antique silver wine taster of simple plain form in the shape of a flat bowl with a raised central dome. Very charming with the original hand beaten silver. At a later date the reverse side has been gilded for use as a trencher salt and the crest of an otter hand engraved to the front. Weight 98 grams, 3.1 troy ounces. Height 2 cm. Diameter 11.3 cm.   A fine early English silver teapot of simple plain form. Pear shaped with domed hinged cover and original wooden handle. Good gauge silver. Hand engraved to the front is large contemporary armorial within a decorative cartouche. Scratchweight 15=3 and owners initials underneath. Early teapots were of small capacity because of the rarity of tea. Contains 600 ml. Weight (including handle) 495 grams, 15.9 troy ounces. Height 21cm. Spread 19.5cm. London 1725. Maker John Bache.   A handsome antique silver monteith bowl with the original castellated collar mounted with little lion heads. Excellent size and proportions. The bowl design is typical for a monteith of the period 1700-1720 with its plain form on a built-up foot and the large hand engraved coat of arms. To the reverse is finely executed crest.
