Subsequently he married Mary and his 2nd mark 1801 as smallworker appears alone. 3rd mark 1802. 4th mark (2 sizes) 1805. 5th mark 1823. Buried 15 May 1826. His widow’s and son’s joint mark entered 31 May 1826.

A magnificent antique sterling silver box with doubled compartment and hinged lid. Excellent size and weight. Original gilt interior. Crisp cast borders and engine turned decoration to the sides and base. The top bears a regimental inscription. Weight 542 grams, 17.4 troy ounces. Height 4cm. Top 12 x 8.5cm. London 1822.
