John Round, Sheffield silversmith, started in 1847 with a small family workshop attached to his house in Sheffield. When his son Edwin joined the business as partner it became John Round & Son. In 1874 it became John Round & Son Ltd managed by Henry Pawson, Joseph Gamble and JB Barber. The business trademark was a globe surrounded by “All the Round”. In the 1930s the business was purchased by Joseph Rodgers & Sons.
