He entered in partnership with Saul Samuel trading as Blanckensee, Samuel & Co and in Melbourne, Australia, with Simeon Joseph and Elias Samuel trading as Joseph, Samuel & Co. The partnership was dissolved in 1858 and the limited liability company S. Blanckensee & Son Ltd was formed in 1887.
