A good pair of antique telescopic candle holders in sterling silver. Excellent plain style, typical of the period, with broad bands of gadroon and shell ornament. Detachable nozzles. The candlestick top fits inside a sleeve within the bottom half of the stick so that the height of the columns can be adjusted. Height 22.5/28cm. Diameter of base 12.5cm. Sheffield 1827.
