An unusual antique sterling silver tea caddy box of plain oval form with a hinged carrying handle. With a broad egg and dart border to the top edge. Typical Georgian style. The double opening lid has an inset hinge and there is a lock to either side. Weight 581 grams, 18.6 troy ounces. Height 10 cms, 17.5 cms to top of handle. Top measures 15.5 x 12 cms. London 1808.
