Description

A stylish telescopic solid gold ruler with an ivory button dating from the 1920s era. The measure opens out into 3 sections measuring one imperial foot in length. When closed the ruler shows the measure 11.5 cms, 4.5 inches; when open it measures 30.5 cms, 12 inches. On one side there is the inscription “One Thousand Square Miles” and on the reverse there is a presentation inscription in script dated 2/2/25. Weight 23 grams (including button). Actual length 13 cms (closed), 31.5 cms (open). Birmingham 1923. Maker WS.

Condition

This stunning item is in good order with no damage or restoration. There are some minor dents. Marked with a full set of clear English gold hallmarks. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
