Description

A handsome antique silver goblet with acanthus leaf decoration and matted engraving. Deep gilding throughout. The body is inset with eight 18th century coins and the base is mounted with a further four coins. Heavy gauge silver and the cup feels good in the hand.

Contains 170 ml.

Weight 213 grams, 6.8 troy ounces.

Height 10.2cm. Diameter 7.4cm.

Unmarked silver.

Continental, probably German.

Circa 1790.

The lovely goblet is in very good condition. Bright gilding with a minimal amount of wear.
