A stunning quality 19th century cut crystal claret jug with decorative silver mount and pedestal foot. Very elegant design. Original gilt inside the lid. The jug has a silver swan finial and a graceful curving swan design handle. There are additional swan themes within the pierced silver body decoration. The crystal glass body has excellent quality deep cut designs and heavy crisscross work. Contains 690 ml. Height 32.5 cms. Spread 13.5 cms. Marked around the top silver mount with French silver stamps. 950 grade. Circa 1860/70.
This attractive wine jug is in very good condition with no damage or restoration to the silver or crystal. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
