Description
A very elegant antique sterling silver chalice with plain classical style, bead border and gilt bowl. To the front there is a very pretty hand engraved cartouche containing an armorial. Around the top rim there is a border of bright cut engraving. Weight 262 grams, 8.4 troy ounces. Height 15.5 cms. Diameter of top 8.75 cms. Contains 300 ml. London 1780. Makers mark rubbed.
Condition
This charming silver cup is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. The gilt interior is bright and original. The hand engraving is crisp. The silver marks are clear and easy to read however the makers mark is too rubbed to decipher. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
