Description

An antique continental silver cup of tapering form with a shaped base and standing on three ball feet. Charming decoration with embossed flower heads and foliate scrolls. Original faded gilt interior and remaining traces of the gilt exterior.

Contains 120 ml.
Weight 62 grams, 2 troy ounces.
Height 9.5 cms. Diameter 6.5 cms.
Stamped underneath with the German town mark “N” for Nuremberg (Nurnberg).
Makers mark “HH” for Heniel Hamon and an assay scrape.
Circa 1700.

Condition

This excellent period silver drinking cup is in very good condition. The feet are dented and there are marks inside at the bottom where the feet have pushed through a bit. Original gilt interior (faded) and traces of the original gilt to the exterior. The beaker has been tested for water retention and does not leak.
