An early continental silver drinking cup with simple tapering form. Original gilt finish. Hand engraved with a edge border and four scroll motifs.

Weight 158 grams, 5 troy ounces.

Height 11 cms. Diameter 10 cms.

Stamped on the top edge with a part makers mark “?R” and assay scrape.

Probably German.

Circa 1680.

Condition

This silver beaker is in very good condition. The gilt is bright but part worn. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
