A handsome set of antique silver dinner knives in the popular Kings pattern. Solid sterling silver handles with steel blades. Harlequin set. Length 25-26.4cm. Various makers and dates. Circa 1890-1924.
6 knives by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company. London 1897. Length 26.4.
– 5 with blades marked Garrards. 1 with blade marked Mappin & Webb
5 knives by Cooper Brothers. Sheffield 1890. Length 25cm.
1 knife by William Yates. Sheffield 1924. Length 26.4cm
Marks. All handles are stamped with a set of sterling silver English silver hallmarks.
Condition
This useful set of sterling silver handled knives are in good but used condition. The handles are hollow, not filled. There is some discoloration on the steel blades.
