A stylish Victorian period silver claret jug with a clear crystal body etched with a band of swags and Greek key pattern borders. The sterling silver mount has a decorative pierced top, shell pouring lip and finial, and a very smart geometric design handle decorated all over. Contains 820 ml. Height 24 cms. Birmingham 1841. Maker William Gough.
Condition
This useful antique jug is in very good condition with no damage or restoration to silver or glass. The mount is stamped with a full set of clear English silver hallmarks. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
