Condition
This collectible cup is in very good condition. The coconut has a good finish and does not leak. Stamped underneath the foot with a full set of English silver hallmarks. Small dink to the top rim. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.

Maker: Joseph Ash I
Joseph Ash I, London silversmith, apprenticed to Roger Biggs of the Glovers Company 1793, free 1801. 1st mark as smallworker 1801 entered one day after his freedom. Two apprentices of his former master were turned over to him the following month. 3 new marks 1810. 3 further marks 1818. His son James apprenticed to Joseph Bibbs 1818.
