A good size antique silver box with hinged lid and a very pretty shaped finial. Very heavy quality. The filigree work is fine quality and very detailed with applied flowers, scrollwork, motifs and silver balls.

Unmarked silver.
Probably Portuguese or Spanish.
Circa 1800.

This unusual miniature chest is in very good condition and the filigree work has no damage or restoration. Heavy gauge silver. There are no silver marks which is often the case with filigree work due to the lack of a solid surface to hold the punches.
