Description

A good size sterling silver tureen and cover in the Charles II style. Beautifully chased with large fruits and foliage to both body and lid. Good gauge silver. Weight 599 grams, 19.2 troy ounces. Height 14 cms (to top of finial),11.4 (top of body). Spread across handles 21 cms. Diameter of bowl 10.8 cms. Both pieces hallmarked London 1920. Maker not listed.

Condition

This good quality silver porringer is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. The lid and body are fully matching. The cup is stamped on the body near the handle and on edge of the lid, with a full set of clear English hallmarks. The engraving is still well defined. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
