A rare early English silver flat top lidded tankard with a scroll handle having a decorative thumb piece. To the front is a crisp armorial engraved in the style of that period. An excellent example of early hand beaten silver with lots of character.
Weight 652 grams, 20.9 troy ounces.
Height 15.5 cms.

Maker AD in a circle (see Jacksons page 138).Fully marked on lid and base. Makers mark on the handle.
Sterling silver.
