Description
An antique silver footed salver of plain circular form with a simple moulded border and a waisted pedestal foot. Excellent heavy quality. Hand engraved to the centre with a coat of arms flanked by a pair of dogs, surmounted by the coronet of a Count. The foot, with the original detachable screw, is now permanently attached to the top for stability.
Weight 642 grams, 20.6cm.
Diameter 23cm. Height 5.3cm.
Stamped underneath to the centre with German silver marks for Hanover Altstadt,
1720-40.
