A handsome antique sterling silver beaker of plain tapering design with simple foot wires. Excellent patina. Weight 143 grams, 4.5 troy ounces. Height 9 cms. Diameter 6.8 cms. Newcastle 1746. Maker James Kirkup.
Condition
This charming antique beaker is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Stamped with a full set of clear English silver hallmarks. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.

James Kirkup, Newcastle silversmith. Apprenticed to Eli Bilton and John Younghusband. free 1713. Died 1753 when his widow Jane Kirkup continued the retail business and his son John Kirkup took over the production.
