Provincial silver. A handsome antique silver cup with twin side handles and raised on a pedestal foot. Lovely plain form and good gauge silver.

Marks. Stamped below the rim with a full set of clear English silver hallmarks, both handles with the makers mark only.

The Langlands were a Newcastle based family business which, for sixty years, was the largest silver producer in Newcastle. Dorothy Langland was active 1804-1814 following death of her husband, John Langlands II.
