An antique sterling silver mug with plain style and bands of concentric lines around the body (coopered decoration). Uninscribed. Original gilt interior.

Maker: Stephen Adams II

Stephen Adams II, London silversmith. Son of Stephen Adams I, goldsmith, loriner and warden of the Goldsmiths Company. Apprenticed to his father in 1783, free 1784. In 1784 the Adams firm became Stephen Adams & Son. The father retired circa 1790 when Adams II entered his first mark as buckle-maker.
