An elegant antique silver salver. Classic plain style with swept feet and bead border. To the front there is a hand engraved armorial with a crest and armorial.

This pretty tray is in very good conditionn. Stamped on the reverse with a full set of clear English silver hallmarks. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.

Maker: Thomas Chawner
Thomas Chawner, London silversmith, apprenticed to Ebenezer Coker 1754, free 1762. Livery 1771. Recorded as a plateworker working from 1759 both alone and with William Chawner, also as a spoonmaker. 1st mark entered 1773, 2nd mark 1775, 3rd mark 1783. Died circa 1802-1811.
