An elegant antique sterling silver teapot of oval octagonal form. Simple classic design with pretty bright cut engraving all over. There is a vacant cartouche to the front and to the reverse there’s a cartouche containing a monogram of intertwined initials. Contains 1000 ml. Weight 494 grams, 15.8 troy ounces, , Height 15.2 cms to top of handle. Top measures 15 x 10 cms. London 1787. Maker Charles Hougham.

This delightful antique silver teapot on its matching stand is in very good condition. The hand engraving is crisp. The silver marks are clear and matching underneath, lion mark only under the lid. The teapot pours beautifully and does not leak. There is a very minute dink around the top edge (see lead photo) and a couple of dinks underneath. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
