A highly collectible antique sterling silver and shell snuff box having a hinged lid a hand engraved armorial within a decorative cartouche. Top 9 x 7 cms. Unmarked silver. English. Circa 1810.

This rare little shell box is in good, unrestored condition but showing signs of use over the years. The engraving is crisp, the silver top is a little "pushed in", nothing to worry about. The back of the hinge has a tear. There are 2 or 3 small cracks in the shell. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
