An elegant pair of antique sterling silver salt pots of oval form on a pedestal base. Classic plain style with gadroon borders and original gilt interior. Weight 256 grams, 8.2 troy ounces. Top 9.5 x 8 cms. Height 6 cms. London 1805. Maker John Edwards.
Condition
These attractive silver salts are in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Marked underneath with a full set of matching English silver hallmarks. Each salts has a slight dink, very negligible Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.

John Edwards III, London silversmith, free by patrimony of the Carpenters Company 1782, apprenticed to William Frisbee 1789. 1st mark entered as plateworker 1788, 2nd mark in partnership with William Frisbee 1791, 3rd mark alone 1792, 4th mark in partnership with his son Edward Edwards 1811.
