Stunning quality. An ornamental antique sterling silver cup with shaped side handles and an acanthus decorated cover with pineapple finial. Gilt finish. Excellent weight. To one side there is a later inscription for the 1829 Southampton Regatta. Weight 1231 grams, 39.5 troy ounces. Height 21.5 (to top of handle), 28 cms (total). Dublin 1779. Maker Thomas Jones.

This beautiful antique Irish cup is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. The silver marks are crisp and clear to read (lid unmarked). Some wear to the gilt finish on the ribbing. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
