    A charming antique silver mounted horn snuff box, the hinged lid with a silver mount and large Scottish thistle. The quality of the horn is particularly good. Length 7.5 cms. Diameter 3.7 cms. Unmarked silver. Most probably Scottish. Circa 1800.

    An antique silver box of interesting design. The lift off cover has a finial shaped as an antique soldier figure raised on a tall column. Heavy quality. The body has a deep chased foliate decoration. Weight 533 grams, 17.1 troy ounces. Height 9.6 cm, 20 cm to top of finial. Top measures 13 x 8 cm. Stamped with continental silver marks, assay scrape to the base. Circa 1800.

    An ornate antique silver box having 3 compartments with double hinged lids. The body is heavily chased with flowers and leaves and the handles are formed as a flower head and leaf. Excellent quality and weight. The tall centre finial acts as a locking mechanism and the lids won’t open until this has been unscrewed and removed. Unmarked silver. Circa 19th century. Probably Indian.

    An unusual antique silver tea caddy box of curved rectangular form. Lovely classic style. This is a double caddy designed for both black and green tea. Beautifully engraved to the lid and body with leaf borders and a thick band of foliate scrolls with interspersed flowerheads. To the front is a monogram in old fashioned script. The fixed carrying handle has a reed and acanthus decoration. The unusual double opening lid has an inset hinge and there is a lock to either side. Key provided. Weight 661 grams, 21.2 troy ounces.     A rare antique sterling silver wax jack, or go to bed, of rectangular form. Good plain style and gadroon borders. The central wax winder supports the remains of a coil of wax, the end of which is held in place in the centre of the sconce. The small conical snuffer is attached to the top by a long silver chain.     A lovely little novelty collector’s item. An early 19th century gold vinaigrette modelled as a travelling case. The hinged cover, with a carrying handle, is inscribed ‘Souvenir’. The cover opens to reveal a pierced hinged grille. 2 coloured gold, the body is a rich yellow gold and the flower highlights and body fluting are in copper gold.     An exquisite antique silver inkstand by the master craftsman John Bridge. Sterling silver with the original bright gilt finish. All contained within a boat shaped dish, this charming piece has a carrying handle surmounted by a model bee. The cut crystal inkwell sits within a decorative raised gallery, the candle holder is formed as a flower raised on a leafy stalk, and the candle snuffer nestles alongside a second flower tendril. The top is decorated in the traditional silver and black niello with two ladies listening to a young man playing a mandolin and, in the background, on gilt stippled ground with leaf borders. The base is equally beautiful with a lady playing the harpsichord, the listener sitting in an armchair. The interior has the original gilding. Weight 55 grams, 1.7 troy ounces. Top measures 6.25 x 4.5 cms. Height 1.4 cms. Top and bottom marked with Russian silver marks. Makers mark for Ivan Kaltykov, Moskow. Dated 1827.
